The Widow" is evidently a sequel to the Evans Blue song "kiss the flag", which I was never really into, but this one is fantastic and has arguably the most catchy chorus on the album. You are only getting non-energetic monotonous songs, followed by a very VERY average acoustic version of the song, "Pray To The Pessimist" in the form of "Pray" to end this disappointing album. D41V30N November 21st Comments. The first thought that came to my mind after scrutinizing the album would be: I think this is their worst. Plus you have to keep in mind during the recording of this album Parabelle only had 2 out of the five reassembljng members from their first album which were Kevin and Gio though Gio left during the recording of their 3rd album.
Parabelle's 2nd studio album, Reassembling The Icons, perfectly showcases how excellent production quality is pointless if the music itself is pointless. For those of you wanting an album close to the sound of their first you are going to have to tue up on that now that Kevin is the only original member in the band and he doesn't get involved with anything other than vocals.
The song Pray is a little different from Pray to The Pessimist released on Parabelle's first album, It's basically the same song.
And that is all. Both of the albums released by Evans Blue under Kevin were parabellle, especially the second one. If you are a fan of all those non-unique stereotypical rock bands out there, you may actually like this album.

This effort "Reassembling the Icons" feels like an early effort for a band trying to find their feet together, but that doesn't take away from Matisyn's haunting lyrics, and powerful voice to lead to an all around satisfying album filled with re-listen-ability. Recommended Tracks for people who look for some variation and energy and whatsoever: I'm glad he is still around.

Kevin Matisyn the lead singer is one of the best song writers around and uses metaphor and deeply personal lyrics to weave really powerful songs that grow even better with time.
